Finnish-English-Finnish Dictionary DeKalb Finn Hall (Majakka Hall) Preservation Majakka Hall is a former Finnish Temperance Hall in DeKalb, IL. Finnish immigrants laid the cornerstone for the building in 1917 and the building was completed and dedicated in 1918. The focus of this site is about the preservation of Majakka Hall. This website will show what work is being done and what work has been funded and what will need to be funded in the future.
